At Queensberry AP we are always looking to engage with Parents, Carers and the wider family and as such we aim to offer opportunities that promote the development of skills and offer families the chance to develop positive relationships. Through our partnership with the Family Learning Team, part of the Skills and Employment Team for Cheshire West and Chester Council, we offer workshops and courses aimed at improving outcomes for parents, carers and young people.

"Family learning is about you becoming more confident in supporting your child's learning and developing your own skills. Most importantly, it is about finding the fun in learning for your child and yourself".

The Family Learning programme provides a broad range of courses and workshops and offers the chance to gain certificates for achievement.

There are five key areas covered, these are first steps to:

• helping your child learn 

• engaging with learning 

• creating a confident family (eg family first aid, parenting skills)

• employment (eg CV writing, interview skills)

• improving maths, english and IT (eg family maths, family english)
