Duke of Edinburgh's Award
In addition to regular boxing sessions all students will take part in outdoor education activities within the local community and further afield. They will have an opportunity to study outdoors in new environments and work towards their Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award. The outdoor education element to Queensberry AP will enable the students to learn new skills, develop their ability to work as part of a team, build their self-esteem and confidence, improve problem solving abilities and develop their leadership skills. Paul is a fully qualified DofE leader and has a wealth of experience in the outdoors.
We understand that students enjoy subjects of a practical nature and can gain valuable skills through programmes such as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Students will work on projects that will incorporate English and Maths into the delivery of outdoor education activities and have the opportunity to gain AQA Unit Awards as well as complete activities that can work towards the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award.
